Cops capture four bandits
MEMBERS of a Wallerfield family who were physically assaulted and robbed were yesterday begging for financial assistance with medical bills resulting from the incident. According to reports, Nook Narinesingh and his family were asleep at about 12 am when four men broke down his door. "They started to shout ‘police, police!’" he told Newsday, " and yelled at me to come outside in the yard." The four men who assaulted him and his family were held some hours later. Narinesingh’s car which the men had also stolen was also recovered and the vehicle returned to him. Narinesingh, reporting on the invasion by the bandits said when they entered his home shortly after midnight, he was partially asleep and in a state of shock. "My family inside were being tied up and molested by the men. They threw me on the ground and started to planasse me on my feet," he said. "They took all my money and I am suffering and in pain right now," he complained. "How can a man enter your house and beat you and steal your things." He said they kicked him in the stomach and told him to start the car. "After I did that, they stole it and drove off." Narinesingh said he lives in a modest home and provides for his family as a labourer. "I don’t have any money. Crime is out of control in this country and in our area there are bandits and thieves," he disclosed. Narinesingh said he has been robbed of his garden vegetables and equipment in the past. Arima police are continuing investigations.
