URP worker gunned down in Petit Valley
An URP worker was gunned down while walking a short distance away from his Pioneer Drive, Petit Valley home on Tuesday night. Christopher Stowe, 28, was shot four times, two to the chest and two to the abdomen. The autopsy was carried out by Dr Borris. Police reports revealed that Stowe was walking along Roots Lane, Petit Valley, at 9.45 pm, when he was confronted by a gunman who shot him. The body was ordered removed to the Forensic Science Centre. Yesterday, Errol Duprey, the dead man’s uncle, denied that Stowe was involved in gang activity. He also denied that he was involved in illicit activities, and expressed shock and concern over the murder. Duprey called on the police to ensure that the killer is arrested and brought to justice. Police investigators told Newsday that based on information received, Stowe was a drug dealer and they believe that his death could be drug-related. His murder is the 254th for the year. Sgt Joyce James Martin is investigating.
