Doctors killing us with fees

THE EDITOR: The inadequacy of the Government Health Service provides the opportunity for the private surgeons in all specialities to milk the community. They are having a field day thanks to a patronising government. Surgeons openly display "Man’s inhumanity to man." Why did they study medicine? What was their motive? Have their ethics changed with their specialisation?

They capitalise on the misfortune and suffering of their fellowmen. Immorality prevails as sympathy for the unfortunate diminishes into thin air. Their fees are obscene — in no way justified. No wonder they are so fabulously rich. They should be forensically investigated by the Inland Revenue department. If the Government Health Service was not so deplorable the surgeons would not be able to exploit the population so comprehensively.
