Port ferry blues
THE EDITOR: Kindly permit me a space in your newspaper to express my dissatisfaction about the bad customer service I experienced at the Trinidad ferry terminal in Port-of-Spain. I arrived at the terminal at approximately 3 pm on Friday August 26, 2005 to check in on the Lynx that was to set sail at 4 pm. I had to sit on the floor because there were no seats available. Also to add insult to injury no one informed me or anyone else that the Lynx was delayed due to a late departure from Tobago. I think that adequate seating accommodation should be available and it will be better if they make proper use of their PA system that will help with announcing any future delays. Also something needs to be done about the arrangement of persons with their children to board first even if it means putting them in a separate line. I know that your service will improve by using tents with chairs outside of the terminal like that of the Tobago ferry terminal. LISHA CHARLES Chaguanas
