Lucie-Smith in driver’s seat @ Inglefield/Ogilvy and Mather
William Lucie-Smith has been appointed chairman of the board of Inglefield/Ogilvy and Mather Caribbean Limited (IOM). He replaces Geoffrey Inglefield, who has retired as chairman but remains a member of the board. Lucie-smith retired recently as senior partner of PriceWaterhouseCooopers (PWC) Trinidad, where he headed its corporate finance and recoveries practice. A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago, he has served on several national committees, including the Rampersad Committee to review the reorganisation and rationalisation of State Enterprises, Public Utilities and Statutory Authorities in Trinidad and Tobago. He was a member of the Daly Committee on Corporate Insolvency and Company Law with special reference to severance pay and also served as an accounting advisor to the Government and Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago on the divestment process. Most recently he served on the Cabinet-appointed BWIA task force. Since retiring from PWC, Lucie-Smith has been a independent consultant and is currently a non-executive director of Neal and Massy Holdings Limited and Sagicor Financial Corporation.
