It was about 12.30 pm yesterday that the driver was proceeding along Bueno Intento Road in the vicinity of Glenroy Settlement. A report stated that the driver went too close to the edge of the road and the truck almost capsized.

The man reportedly lost control of the truck which swerved across to the other lane. According to the report, the truck slammed into Ramsaroop who was bathing at the standpipe with his cousin. The child was pitched into the air.

On impact, the report stated, the driver jumped out of the truck and ran off.
