Man dead in highway crash
A 43-YEAR-OLD San Fernando man was killed instantly by a car which crossed the median and crashed head-on into his car, which was on the northbound lane on the Solomon Hochoy Highway. Dead is Anil Deosingh of Richmond Street, San Fernando. The accident occurred at 6.45 am near the Preysal flyover. A police report stated that Deosingh was driving on the northbound lane when a Nissan Cifero, driven by a man on the southbound lane, crossed the median. The car crashed into Deosingh’s blue Mitsubishi Lancer. Deosingh was rushed to the Mount Hope Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Police said the driver of the Cifero sustained minor injuries. Couva police are investigating.
