Fugitive still on the run
ESCAPED prisoner Elliston Guppy has continued to elude capture although he has been spotted several times by police and private citizens. Police sources have confirmed that once again Guppy, 29, managed to escape capture in the forested Maracas/St Joseph Hills. The day before he was spotted close to the Trinidad Muslim League School opposite the St Joseph Police Station. He ran off into the nearby squatting area of Bangladesh and disappeared. Before that he was spotted at Acono Road, Maracas/St Joseph and before that at El Carmen, St John’s Road, St Augustine. Guppy, of Caiman Road, St Joseph escaped by jumping through a window at the Caura Hospital on Monday last where he was taken for medical attention.
