NJAC: Commit to a greater sense of brotherhood

The National Joint Action Committee (NJAC), in extending Divali greetings to the Hindu community, has called for citizens to commit themselves to fostering a greater sense of brotherhood in every facet of their lives.

It noted that the triumph of light over darkness, especially at this time has much significance and relevance, since our nation is in crisis facing an overwhelming darkness.

NJAC in a press release said there is therefore need for deeper reflection on the ethical values of our society. "It is our fervent hope that the period is used by all and sundry to point to a new direction in our society."

The release said that it is against this background that NJAC renews its call for a new spirituality to prevail.

"Let us shed the negatives and embrace more positives in our environment.

"Let self-development be a living code of our daily existence and let character-building be our greatest asset," the release stated.
