Arima teen killed in ugly argument

Dead is Roger Brizan, 18, of Olton Road, Arima.

According to reports, Brizan met three friends at the corner of Convent Street and Eastern Main Road, Arouca, near the St Finbars RC Church at about 11.35 pm.

The youths began arguing about who was the ugliest among them, and one of the men got angry and stabbed Brizan three times in the neck.

The bleeding man was rushed to the Arima District Hospital where he died while undergoing emergency surgery.

As a result of an order by the Director of Public Prosecutions yesterday, an 18-year-old man of Arima has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Visiting the scene were Insp Abraham, Sgt Ramdeen, Cpl Lawrence, PCs Gosien, Ramoutar and Rigsby.

Cpl Lawrence laid the charge.
