No reason for Imbert to attack me
The Editor: Politicians are touchy creatures these days — and with good reason, given their behaviour. However, there is no reason for Works Minister Colm Imbert to attack me personally, and refer to my writings as "outbursts," just because he cannot do his job. However, we were all pleased to read his listing of drainage works about to go out to tender, as he attacked me — the poor messenger — in his letter to Friday Newsday. His list of works is to be undertaken in advance of the National-Drainage-Plan-to-be-Recommended-to-Cabinet!? Just teasing there, Mr Imbert — however, your listing is an admission of Peter O’Connor’s ongoing argument ("outburst?") that the work required is a maintainence function which does not need a Cabinet-appointed master plan to undertake. If, and when, the required works go to tender, if it is ever completed, the question will still remain: What took you so long ? Peter O’Connor Cascade
