Bravo Georgian players
THE EDITOR: Cong-ratulations to the Georgian players on a truly intriguing production of Belle Fanto by Eric Roach. These young talented players have truly empathised with the characters some forty to forty-five years old and were able to define and adopt the mannerisms and emotions which range from sorrow, joy, excitement to intertwine this ridiculous intense tragedy with some comic relief. The cultural and artistic input by the singers, dancers, musicians and artistes provided the audience with a vivacious and captivating multi-cultural mix that is a heritage we treasure. The Ministry of Culture and the private sector should ensure that this play is seen by the Trinidad and Tobago public in the hope that it might serve as a catharsis to effect positive understanding and unconditional love for family life. The principal, staff, parents and students of St George’s College have made an overwhelming statement that if the wealth of potential talent of our young people is harnessed, then the response will be crowned with success. Belle Fanto could rise to the fame now enjoyed by Mary Could Dance in the world of theatre. JUNE LUCAS Diego Martin
