Trio on ammo charges

Lesliann Kerr, 21, a hairdresser, of Diamond Village in San Fernando, Neil Donnie, 22, and Chris Murrain, 21, both of Clyde Street in La Romain pleaded “not-guilty” when they appeared before Magistrate Andrew Stroude.

The trio was charged with being in possession of two rounds of ammunition on April 13 at Thompson Gardens, Ste Madeleine. In an application for bail, attorney Dexter Bailey told the magistrate that Murrain had one previous conviction while Kerr and Donnie had a clean record.

Bailey told the magistrate that the evidence in the case will reveal that Donnie and Kerr were arrested because they were on the premises where the ammunition was found.

Stroude subsequently granted Kerr and Donnie $40,000 bail each while Murrain was granted $85,000 bail. The matter was adjourned to April 28.
