Only to learn that the WICB in their infinite wisdom had made the decision that the final, the final, should not be televised in Trinidad and Tobago since Trinidad and Tobago was one of the contestants.

In all my extended life I have never heard a more stupid and insipid ruling. If it was to encourage people to attend the game, well then it should not have been on radio either.

Nevertheless, I turned to my radio in expectation only to find that 105 FM was also broadcasting races.

So they were running from cricket to races, from cricket to the results of the race, from the starters for Race 4 to cricket.

It was a real farce, especially when in returning to the cricket, there was one advertisement after the other, so that we got a broadcast from the middle of an over.

No, no, no. I am afraid that we are all mixed up, confused and downright inefficient, Vision 2020? Ha!!

I wonder how the sponsors must feel when they cannot get their product advertised. It all starts with the absolutely insipid ruling of the WICB.
