Poonith, 24, of Caratal Road, Gasparillo, was struck by a vehicle early on Good Friday morning but his body was not discovered until Saturday, near the Freeport flyover.

Poonith’s brother Ravi told Newsday that shortly after 1 am on Good Friday, Poonith stormed out of his girlfriend’s house in Claxton Bay after an argument. Ravi said Poonith called his girlfriend from his cellular phone at around 3.55 am.

But, at around 5.30 am on Saturday, a bottle collector stumbled upon his body close to the Freeport flyover.
