RICARDO Woodruffe, 50, originally of La Horquetta, Arima, lost his home to a fire last year, then lost the vision in his left eye in an accident.
The unemployed father of five lost his house in a fire on February 2, 2005. Since then he has been staying with a relative in Mc Bean, Couva. Six months after the fire, Woodruffe was involved in a vehicular accident on the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, near the Santa Rosa Race Track.
Woodruffe, who was seated in the left back seat of the car, flew out of the vehicle and landed in some bushes at the side of the road. He suffered severe injury to his left eye when he fell face down on a blunt object.
Woodruffe is seeking assistance from the public for the eye surgery which will cost $125,000. He has to undergo an urgent cornea eye draft transplant surgery in Cuba.
