VIPs enjoy ferry to Tobago

Minister of Housing Dr Keith Rowley travelled to Tobago aboard the 5 pm sailing of The Cat. Also on that day, Opposition Leader Basdeo Panday and Mrs Panday and family and friends took the 10.30 am sailing of The Cat to Tobago to enjoy the Easter weekend.

On Good Friday, April 14, Minister of Works and Transport Colm Imbert and family took the Lynx at 6:30 am from Trinidad to Tobago. They were also greeted by the CEO and executive manager of the service and welcomed aboard by the captain.

The inter-island ferry service between Trinidad and Tobago has grown in popularity, especially with the arrival of the fast ferries. The number of persons utilising the seabridge has grown considerably with many persons now viewing the ferry service as an enjoyable and relaxing option for travel between the islands. The 2 1/2 hour journey is quick, reliable and relaxing — with well-stocked bars and cafeterias offering a wide choice of meals. The facilities are modern and comfortable, with onboard movies and spacious airplane-type and lounge seating.
