MerryBoys in Carib 20/20 final

The Diego Martin team is having a good season, having already won the Carib Beer Sunday League title, beating CLICO Preysal in the final earlier this season.

They will meet Preysal again in the Carib 20/20 final at Guaracara Park, Pointe-a-Pierre, on May 5.

They totalled 129 for eight wickets in their 20 overs led by Guyanese allrounder Neil McGarrell with 36, Mario Belcon, 29, and Lincoln Roberts 22.

Then the MerryBoys ripped apart the Comet batting in 17.3 overs for 96 runs, with another Guyanese Travis Dowling topscoring with 26.

Trinidad and Tobago allrounder Richard Kelly took two wickets for 11 runs, while Kenton Thompson scalped two for 15 and Aneil Kanhai, two for 19.
