Harlem blast D/Force n-ballers 29-7
Harlem whipped the Army-Coast Guard women 29-7 in Monday’s match at the Lystra Lewis Courts, Princes Building Grounds.
Goal-shoot Kefia Baptiste netted ten of her 14 attempts and Jillisa Allan had 19 of 21 for the winners, while Ria Noel got two goals of her five attempts and Samantha Kinsale had five of eight for Defence Force.
In another match in the same bracket, Government Printery beat Horizon 16-9 with Renecia Delecia scoring nine of 17 attempts and Atoya Adams, seven of 14.
For Horizon Jodee Thomas scored a perfect five of five attempts and Anezcia Depeza netted four of seven.
Arima Ball Masters pulled off a close 17-12 victory over Netaces in the same division with Christi Snaggs scoring ten of 15 attempts and Cindy Ann Jackson, seven of 12.
Melissa Simons scored nine of 15 and Afiya Julien handed three of six for Netaces. In Barbara Burnette “B2” Division action, Sparkles edged out a thrilling 9-7 victory over Arima Ball Masters with Nyasha D’Heureux scoring four of 16 and Denise Willliams, five of 11.
Shenice Charles sank three of five, Tameka John scored two of seven and Jamila Riley made two of seven scored goals for Sparkles.
In another match in that division, San Juan Jabloteh crushed Arima United 10-1 with Venera Williams scoring the only goal for the losing team. Sade Cox had five goals from 15 attempts, and Latoya Thomas, five of 13 for the winners.
And in a thriller in the same bracket, Mucurapo Junior Secondary beat Harlem 9-6.
Sinead Constant led the scoring with five goals from 12 attempts, , Danella Thomas also made three of eight and Sue Ann Cordner, one of four scored for Mucurapo.
Eutemia Cayones scored two of five, and Ayanna Dennis got four of five for Harlem.
