Sentencing of husband-killer adjourned to May 4
Cecelia Brown Bedeau, 41, who was found guilty by a San Fernando jury of manslaughter by diminished responsibility was supposed to have been sentenced yesterday by Justice Anthony Carmona.
But when the matter was called Justice Alice Yorke Soo Hon said that Carmona had asked her to adjourn the sentencing to May 4.
State prosecutor Angelica Teelucksingh and defence attorney Mewhalal Chatoor instructed by Karen Foderingham agreed to the adjournment date.
Bedeau who is charged with killing her husband, Bernard, in November 2002, was then remanded into custody.
