She also ordered the complainant in the matter, Sgt Anthony Boucan, to make available a list of witnesses he intends to call at the trial.

Cedeno made the order after the policemen’s lawyer, Subhas Panday, complained to the court that he had been asking the State for disclosure in the matter for more than a month but has received nothing to date.

Police prosecutor Sgt Zamsheed Mohammed said he did not have any material since the police complainant had given the file to the State.

It was also revealed that State prosecutor Kathy-Ann Alexander had been assigned the case.

At the time of the alleged larceny, Ramdath was in charge of the Princes Town Police Station and Sooklal was attached to the Court and Process Department at the station.

It is alleged that between December 1 and 31, 2004, they stole a Nissan B-14 Sentra valued $27,950.

They were charged after the Anti-Corruption Bureau investigated the matter.

Ramdath and Sooklal are each on $275,000 bail. The case was adjourned to June 2.
