Ticket allocation ‘successful’
Teleios Systems announced on Wednesday that they have successfully completed the automated ticket allocation process on April 25 as scheduled.
Teleios was contracted by the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation to handle the technology and logistics for the ticket allocation and distribution for the Soca Warriors’ farewell match ahead of their participation in the World Cup Finals in Germany.
The automated draw, which selected mobile numbers from persons who expressed an interest in purchasing tickets for the match, was witnessed by Louis Lee Sing, Chairman of the National Lottery Control Board.
Teleios used its Mobility Suite to help manage the allocation, distribution and sale of the tickets.
The company also announced that they are notifying winning participants via SMS of their right to purchase four tickets each at specified outlets — Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella; centre of Excellence, Macoya; and the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo.
Ronald Hinds, managing director of Teleios described the process as “a successful one”.
“We are very pleased at the process so far. We are now looking forward to the smooth delivery of tickets at the three venues on Saturday. Of course, regrettably, everyone could not get tickets but that would be so for any system.”
Telios representative Kevin Khelawan addressed the question of the legitimacy of the feedback message. “Valid messages from the Teleios System for this match would come from a sender number 8833. Any message purporting to be communication that does not come from that number should be viewed as a hoax,” he said. At the collection venues, fans will be required to produce identification (Driver’s Permit, ID or Passport), the winning mobile number and the winning mobile phone notification message.
