Phase II bows out

The night was relatively short as reigning Panorama Champions Phase II Pan Groove and Humming Birds Pan Groove both bowed out of the competition.

First up was Excellence Stores Silver Stars with an Edwin Pouchet arrangement of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive” and from all indications it was a good performance.

BWIA Invaders chose the Isley Brothers hit “For The Love of You” as arranged by Arddin Herbert while PCS Starlift performed Stevie Wonder’s “From the Bottom of My Heart” arranged by Carlyle Oliver.

The scenic waterwheel compound in Diego Martin was the next stop as Panatics presented its performance of “It’s so nice to be with you” for the judges. Panatics steel orchestra panyard is under construction but the band still tried to make the judges comfortable during their stay.

From Diego Martin it was on to Petit Valley where HCL Valley Harps was awaiting the judges.

Its rendition of Michelle Watts’ arrangement of Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long” was excellent and was well-received by the audience.
