TTEC, Crowne Plaza boost Warriors

This news was disclosed at a media briefing at Calypso Room, Crowne Plaza, Port-of-Spain yesterday. Dennis McComie, Corporate Communications Manager of TTEC, revealed that striker Stern John, midfielders Silvio Spann, Chris Birchall and Aurtis Whitley, as well as defender Cyd Gray, will be used by the company as mentors to the nation’s youth through talks, workshops and other activities. The $250,000 sum will also cover the cost of sponsorship for the 2006 and 2007 Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL), which includes the Under-19, Under-16, Under-15, Under-14 and girls’ divisions. Other aspects of the deal are the sponsorship of the TTEC Under-15 Youth Championships and the associate sponsorship of the documentary “The Journey Now Start”, which will be aired here in Trinidad and Tobago, and throughout the Caribbean.

TTEC pointed out that their quarter-million-dollar grant is part of their Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, and the company has embraced community outreach, especially targeting youth, in an effort to empower young people to personal and national development.
