Stop electing crapauds

THE EDITOR: Our country now stands at the crossroads of change — the battle in the UNC for leadership and power, the new political parties and the Keith Noel Citizens referendum etc, not to mention Mr Manning’s dreams of vision 2020. One fact we all as citizens must face — either we continue on the road to destruction or change our course to development. But most times development needs sacrifice.
The people of TT are peaceful, carefree people. We accept everything and everyone in our country. We vote either PNM or UNC, and though we boast of being a rainbow country, when it comes to voting we are very racial. We keep the other races out.
What did the great King Solomon say concerning leadership — “Blessed are ye O Land when your Kings are the Sons of Nobles and your Princes eat in due seasons for strength and not for drunkenness.” In the developed countries of USA, England, if you want to be a politician you’ve got to be a millionaire. We must stop electing the crapauds to office. Come TT, wake up, elect to office people of integrity; people who are not afraid to make decisions for fear of losing their positions.
