UWI student wins bmobile text prize

The soft-spoken, final-year UWI student was in shock when TSTT’s Donna Bennett and sports commentator Anil “Spalk” Roberts presented her with a congratulatory letter, outlining the prize which includes airfare, accommodation, meals and ground transfers in Germany.

“Even though I don’t really show my feelings, I am excited,” Moo said. Coincidentally, Moo is studying sports management and is particularly interested in event management. She said she was therefore especially happy to have this opportunity from bmobile to attend one of the biggest sports events in the world.

TSTT’s Bennett commended Moo on her choice of bmobile, noting that it is literally taking her places and even helping her achieve her goals.

The trip to the final match represents the grand prize in the bmobile “Text Go Team” promotion, in which $1 was donated to the Soca Warriors for every “Go Team” text message sent to 4625.

Moo sent at least ten “Go Team” text messages but revealed that she did not realise that the promotion was in fact a competition.

“I was just supporting the team and this is a great surprise and a great opportunity,” she said.

Moo is just one of many lucky persons in Trinidad and Tobago sent by TSTT and bmobile to Germany.
