Pan revelry down Point

From as early as 1 pm, there was a long line of traffic from Mosquito Creek in San Fernando heading all the way into Point Fortin.

Those who left earlier for Point Fortin, were able to either get into the Jouvert celebrations or viewed the old time characters which came off before the pan battle royale.

Both Minister of Culture Joan Yullie Williams and her junior minister Eddie Hart were seen walking the streets of Point Fortin meeting and greeting the people.

When it was time, Hart climbed onto the Neal and Massy Trinidad All Stars truck and joined the band in their presentation.

The roadside DJs ruled the event as the steel orchestras took a very long time to get to the various judging points. This competition went on until 11.30 pm.
