Newsday online readers object to Hinn
The Newsday online poll asked whether, “you object to Benny Hinn’s visit to Trinidad and Tobago.” Up to 5 pm, an overwhelming 154 persons said “yes,” while 65 said “no,” in the online poll.
The SDMS has sent letters of objection to Prime Minister Patrick Manning, President George Maxwell Richards and National Security Minister Martin Joseph.
The SDMS has also questioned whether the State is sponsoring Hinn’s visit. The organisation has said it is prepared to take legal action to prevent the visit.
Yesterday the matter was discussed by the Inter-Religious Organisation (IRO) during their meeting at Archbishop’s House.
Hinn is scheduled to visit TT for the second time from May 19 and will host a three-day crusade at the Queen’s Park Savannah.
