Police ‘A’ whip Govt Printery

POLICE “A” continued their dominating form in the Pearl Francis Championship Division of the Port-of-Spain Netball League when they whipped Government Printery 54-31 at the Lystra Lewis Courts, Princes Building.

The policewomen got 28 goals from 34 attempts from Beverly Hernandez and 26 from 40 attempts from Donna Elise Charles. Sharon John scored 20 and Candy Hazelwood, 11, for Printery.

In the other match in the same division on Saturday, Fire downed Soul City 44-31 with Simone Morgan scoring 22 goals from 29 attempts and Adasha Norton, 22 of 31.

Debra Bain scored 20 of 27, Ann Marie Evans had six, Michelle Boyce, three, and Debra Beckles, two. Police “B” took care of Chips 42-24 with Beverly Rodgers scoring 20 of 22 attempts, Guisher Grant registered 18 of 22 and Althea McCollin made four of eight.

For Chips, Sharon O’Brien scored 15, Deseire Frederick, four, Charmaine Lord-Pope, three and Sharon Boyce-Noel, two.

Uppers won a thrilling Angela “Pinky” Drayton-Thomas “A1” Division match 41-39 over Arima Ball Masters. Debra Martin led Uppers with 28 goals from 36 attempts and Sophia Harper had 13 of 24, while for Ball Masters, Marisa Williams netted 30 of 45 attempts and Minerva Williams, nine of 26.

San Juan Jabloteh were awarded the other match in the division by default over Zenith.
