‘Calypso Live at the Rum Shop’

The MP and his staff put on a calypso show entitled “Calypso Live at the Rum Shop” which featured calypsonians Trinidad Rio, Cro Cro, Abebele, Pink Panther and Superblue.

The yard of the constituency office was transformed into a Rum Shop with Bamboo and coconut palm leaves where patrons limed for the night.

Music was supplied by Rhythm and Moods featuring the Rivas brothers (Vincent and Joey).

But the night belonged to Trinidad Rio, the audience just could not get enough of his many classics which included “Big Shot Party,” “Travelling Man” and “Back To Basics.”

This event was a good effort and could grow into something very big if given the right exposure.
