Horizon netballers ousted

Goal-attack Jasmine Kirton led her team to victory with a good shooting afternoon on Thursday, scoring 11 of her 13 attempts and Yasha John netted six of ten for the winners.

Sherry Thomas had ten goals from 21 attempts and Nicholan Skeete six of seven for Horizon.

Harlem advanced to the next round in the Marjorie John “A2” Division with a 26-22 victory over Mucurapo Ex-Pupils in another thrilling match.

Maylin Peters scored 17 of 23 attempts for Harlem and Raisa Thorne added nine of 14. Mariba Grant got 16 of 34 attempts, Donessa Wickha had five of 13 and Tyjandah Antoine scored one of five for the Ex-Pupils.

Hampton Senators whipped Malta Carib Senators 29-14 in the other “A2” Division match with Margaret Jack scoring 23 of 34 attempts and Akeida Bascombe, six of eight for the winners. Cheryl Farris scored all 14 goals for the losers.

And Fire advanced easily, being awarded the match against Uppers who defaulted.
