Kidney foundation gets $20,000

The donation was made possible through a promotion run in the supermarkets where for each 64-oz Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice and Cranberry Juice Blend purchased by a consumer, HADCO Limited and Ocean Spray donated part proceeds to this foundation.

According to Naseema Ali, brand manager of HADCO, Ocean Spray International has always been at the forefront in promoting kidney and urinary tract health and is associated with the National Kidney Foundation in the United States.

In making the presentation, Ali said it was just the start of a partnership between HADCO and Ocean Spray and the foundation.

The idea, she explained was to educate the public on kidney disease and its prevention, increase the awareness of urinary tract infection and more importantly, the health benefits of cranberries to the entire body.
