Sinnette/Noel showdown now May 26
The bout was originally scheduled for tomorrow because of unforeseen circumstances has been resheduled.
The clash of fists is the feature fight on the night’s card, following one other professional bout and six amateur bouts.
Winner of the Sinnette/Noel contest will receive the World Boxing Association (WBA) CARIFEDE title in the 168 pounds category.
For Sinnette, a former outstanding amateur it means a lot more than that, as victory over the cousin of former world champion Claude Noel will put him within the top 30 rankings in the world.
According to Sinnette’s trainer Gordon Hoyte, a ranking of 30 in the world will allow him the opportunity to contest the Commonwealth championship as well as the Latin American crown.
Sinnette is unbeaten in 10 fights since turning professional two years ago. His record also includes eight knock-outs.
Noel is hoping to make a comeback after a series of setbacks.
Also featuring on the Tigers Boxing Gym card is a battle between Guyana’s Trinidad and Tobago-based Ivan Azuri and local boxer John Henry who will also be making his professional debut.
The fight will a four-round contest and will be followed by a meeting between the top two amateurs in national boxing — Aaron Hassette of the Defence Force and Kirt Blackwell.
