Caledonia Clippers too much for Trailblazers

In the first match, Second Division champions Detour Shak Attack jumped off their campaign with a 75-62 win over Defence Force.

In the feature, Clippers, determined to avoid missing out on a play in the Big-Four as they did last year, proved too talented for Trailblazers’ young court talents as five players reached double figures in pursuit of victory.

Simon Moreno led the way with 18 points, Dwayne Brewster (14), Neil “Choko” Hill and Kerwin “Chinee” Lares had 12 apiece.

Williams added ten with five block shots, as Clippers led from start to finish 21-17, 47-23, 67-35 and 100-59.

Forward Dirk Jacobs was the only Trailblazers player allowed in double-digits with 15 points.

The zone’s 17th season started on April 30, with 17 clubs playing in three divisions — Men’s First and Second and Women.

Matches are played on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
