KIDNAPPING SUSPECT HELD

Marcano was abducted last Friday at Madras Junction in Cunupia by several men and taken to an abandoned house in Brazil Village, San Raphael where he managed to escape from his captors by pretending to be dead.

He was beaten severely and was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex for medical treatment by a passing motorist.

According to police reports, the exercise which started from midnight to approximately 6 am, was led by Inspector Ramsubhag from the Chaguanas Police Station.

Eighteen people were also held on outstanding warrants for narcotic offences.

One man, who was wanted for an outstanding warrant for wounding, was also held as part of the crime exercise.

They will be placed on an identification parade this weekend.
