In the night’s first match on Wednesday, T&T Elite juniors were also blown out 101-40, the widest margin of defeat in the Men’s Second Division to date.

The match was even after the first quarter 19-19, but the T&T Elite men stormed ahead at the half-time interval 41-39, but when the third session ended the lead shifted in favour of TUCO Macoya Forum as they outscored their rivals 18-13 to take a 57-54 advantage.

Paynter scored 12 of his 31 points in the last 14 minutes of the match and Thomas added 13 and Alleyne 11. Point guard Vonelle Applewhite scored 13 points for T&T Elite to maintain an impressive record of three out of three for the season.

Today Trailblazers will take on National Flour Mills at 8 pm in a First Division encounter while in the Second Division, Carenage Warriors and Republic Bank Arrows will tangle at 6.15 pm.
