ALL STARS TO PLAY IN THE BIG APPLE

Members of the Neal and Massy Trinidad All Stars left Trinidad today for the Big Apple where they will perform in a Pan Expo for the weekend. The father’s day pan exposition will come off at KC Caribbean Hideaway 2494 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn , New York.

The show will also feature New York based CASYM Steel Orchestra and a special performance by KC with All Stars. The Duke Street, Port-of-Spain based band will also perform at Van Courtland Park in the Bronx before several dignitaries including New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg as well as several congressmen. This performance is carded for Monday.

THE E TEAM IN SANTA CRUZ

Djs Jus Jase, Franco and King International are now known as the E Team...E as in Elite and they will launch with a House Party this Saturday June 17. The Venue is Greenview Gardens, Upper Santa Cruz and there will be E signs showing direction.

Jus Jase promises to bring out his two turn tables (1200s) to make this a party to remember as the E Team prepares to hit the road.

Touch of Class promotions presents a party especially for dads this tomorrow at the New Cruise Ship Complex (opposite Crowne Plaza). Djs Alan Diaz, Special Delivery and Mr Desmond will get it on from 9 pm making the occasion a really special one for all fathers.

REGGAE MEETS SOCA

The media got a first taste of Freddie’s First which was launched in New York City last Tuesday at South Street Seaport.

Freddie’s First is a reality based, television, cultural, docu-trip narrated by 40 year reggae music veteran Freddie Mc Gregor OD, which highlights the differences and similarities in traditions, culture, music styles and influences between Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago in an effort to educate, identify and unify the two islands. Filming began in November 2005 and continues through July 2006 in both Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago.
