Arrest imminent in Roxanne’s murder
NORTHERN Division police said an arrest is imminent in the murder of 23-year-old Casino worker Roxanne Superville, who was found dead early Thursday morning in a dirt road at La Grine Road, Maracas, St Joseph. Several statements were recorded yesterday by chief investigator, Insp Michael Modeste of the St Joseph Criminal Investigations Department (CID).
There was a shoe lace tied around her neck, and a post mortem performed on Thursday revealed she died as a result of strangulation. Senior police officers said they are working along “systematic lines” and it is believed Superville knew her killer. She lived at Balata Trace, Maracas, St Joseph, and was employed as a floor attendant at a Port-of-Spain Casino. Clad in olive green skirt suit, Superville was found by Gerard Henry, an employee at the Ministry of Agriculture. Her murder is the 151st for the year. Modeste is continuing investigations.
