Lucky Bakery sponsor East KO series

SAN JUAN-BASED Lucky’s Bakery has stepped forward to support football in the Eastern Football Associa-tion. The bakers have pumped $10,000 into the EFA for a new knockout tournament which will kick off on Tuesday from 4.15 pm. And football fans will be afforded a mouth-watering clash between current league champions WASA Clean & White and the powerful Crab Connection at the WASA ground, St Joseph. There will be four other games on tap on Tuesday, all scheduled to kick off at 4.15 pm.

Accepting the Lucky’s Bakery sponsorship cheque from chief executive officer Michelle Ramsahai, EFA president Lennox Watson thanked the firm and called on other corporate citizens in the commumnity to come forward and assist the development programme of his association. First round matches are: Police vs Joe Public, at Constantine Park, Tunapuna; WASA Clean & White vs Crab Connection, at WASA ground, St. Joseph; TSTT vs D Glass Young Hearts, at Valsayn; Athletico Sports Insrtitute vs JGS Maloney Two Touch, at Aranguez Savannah; East/West Coaching School vs Samba Xtra Malt East San Juan United, at Five Rivers Junior Secondary School ground.
