Flippers lead in D/Martin football
HAPPI FOODS Flippers were in dominant mood in the Diego Martin Football Super League. The Flippers swamped Global Enterprise 9-1 and then edged Bagatelle 2-1 and L’Anse Mitan United 2-1 in weekend action to go four-points clear atop the standings. Sekou Long slammed in four goals, Ryan Stewart three and Ronald St Louis and Omatoyo Strong one each in the goal-splurge against Global Enterprise for whom Hassan John got the lone goal. And St Louis and Abdulah Phillip got the goals to beat Bagatelle, with Neyere Julien scoring for the losing team, and Long got both goals in the victory over L’Anse Mitan who got their goal from Grayson Edwards.
Cornell Glen and Darren Lewis goals for Taliban FC to edge Destiny Orientals 2-1, with Nigel Pierre getting his team’s only goal, while Glen and Jason Sampson were the scorers when Taliban beat Covigne United 2-1.
