‘The Graduate’ ready for ‘em again

TRIPLE CROWN winner Top Of The Class is ready to do more damage on the track at Santa Rosa Park, Arima. The son of Freshly Squeezed/Crescendo showed his well being with a steady gallop over 1000 metres on Monday morning, stopping the clock at 1:08.7 seconds. Four-year-old maiden Regent Boy returned the identical timing for his gallop on a track made fast by overnight rains. And yesterday morning, the three-year-old, now called “The Graduate” who allowed trainer Glenn Mendez to write his name into the record books as the first-ever to saddle two triple crown winners, was easy over 1200 metres in 1:18.8 seconds. But a pair of two-years-olds, Ooze and Senor Gucci, raised some eyebrows yesterday with a swift gallop over 600 metres timed in 35.6 seconds. But Nursery Stakes winner Melanie My Love was very easy over the same trip in 37.1 seconds, after clocking 25 seconds flat for a 400 metres run on Monday.

Digital Alarm also impressed over 600 metres in 37.7 seconds, while Belmont Valley enjoyed himself in clocking 38.1seconds.
American importations Seaham Harbour and Soul Asylum again impressed while stepping 600 metres in 37.8 seconds, and X To Board came back in 38.8 seconds over the same trip on Monday. Phantom Bidder was seen comfortably galloping over 600 metres in 40.8 seconds.
Beaten Nursery Stakes favourite Java Takeover from the Maniram “Boboy” Maharaj stable, took things easy over 600 metres yesterday, completing in 44 seconds as he gets set for a recovery mission.
