Deosaran — Put Parliament in Central

INDEPENDENT Senator Professor Ramesh Deosaran has suggested that the Parliament be put in either Couva or Caroni “where there is sufficent room” for it. Deosaran was piloting his motion in the Senate calling on Government to allow the Parliamentary debates to be broadcast live. He said Parliament needed a new building, one which could accomodate the many ancillary services such as the Parliamentary Broadcas-ting Unit. Deosaran said MPs needed to begin thinking as a Parliament, not as PNM or UNC side.
