Scarborough storm into Tobago final

SCARBOROUGH stormed into the Tobago Zonal final of the RBTT Intercol competition yesterday with a 9-1 drubbing of Elizabeth’s in the second match of a double-header at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet. And the defending champs will play Signal Hill in the decider on Saturday, after the Zone Championship winners edged Roxborough 1-0 through a strike from Kino Proctor. Lejandro Williams was a one-man wrecking crew for Scarborough, slamming six goals while Keon Morris, Trevon James and Shamir Reid chipped in with one apiece. Anthony Keith was the lone goal-getter for Elizabeth’s. A Kern Robinson item in the 24th minute gave Naparima a 1-0 win over Pleasantville in their South Zonal semifinal at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella. Naps will oppose Vessigny/St Benedict’s in Monday’s Zone final after needing sudden death/penalty kicks to defeat Vessigny/St Benedict’s in the second match of yesterday’s doubleheader.
