Naps picked for South Intercol crown

NAPARIMA are favoured to walk away with the South Zonal crown in their RBTT  Intercol final against St Benedict’s from 4 pm at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella. Based on their British Gas Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) record this season, with Naps winning one encounter 1-0 on October 8 and the earlier fixture on September 16 a 2-2 drawn result, the South Zone princes should overcome the challenge of  Benedict’s, who have had an inconsistent year. Carrying the hopes for Naparima are strikers Brenton De Leon, Kern Robertson, Aaron Downing and Ateba Forde with support from midfielders Kezi Lara and Ancil Farrier. With the odds stacked against them, Benedict’s will have to be in top form in order to prevent Naparima from securing their second title this season, after sweeping  the  South Zone league crown.
