Mucurapo still unbeaten in north

Trinidad and Tobago Under-16 goal-shoot Afeisha Noel yesterday led Mucurapo Senior Comprehensive to an emphatic 48-5 victory over Tranquillity in their North Zone Group “Y” match in this year’s British Gas-sponsored Secondary Schools Netball League action.

Noel found the nets 43 times from her 50 attempts at the Jean Pierre Complex, Mucurapo, while Akeisha Mark got the other five goals for the unbeaten defending champions. K’Lene Lewis scored four goals and Leanna Pierre the other for “Tranquil.” St Joseph’s Convent whipped Diego Martin Secondary 21-14 in the other match in the same group. Elisa Sylvester scored 13 of her 18 attempts and Je-Neile King, eight of 12 for the Convent Girls. Kelly Ann Francis had 12 goals from 26 attempts and Suelin Tang, two of six for Diego.

Bishop Anstey scored an exciting one-goal victory over Belmont Junior Secondary in a Group “X” match also yesterday at the same venue.
With the scored knotted up 12-12, goal-attack Donella Adams fired in the winner to finish with nine goals from 18 attempts. Goal-attack Kimberly Lyder added four from 19.   Goal-shoot Latoya Ferray scored seven goals from 15 attempts and Kershell Campbell, five of 13 for the Belmont girls.
