St Bryce still schools b-ball boss

ISHAMEL ST BRYCE remains boss of the Trinidad and Tobago School’s Basketball Association. The East Zone chairman was returned to his position unopposed at the association’s annual general meeting at the National Cricket Centre, Couva, on Tuesday last. Also returned  unopposed was secretary Peter Clavery, treasurer Steven Nimblette and public relations officer Utilda Ryan. Guy Ottley is the vice-president beating Learie Sandy 11-3,  and Lennox Campbell was voted assistant secretary/treasurer 10-3 with Sandy again the loser. Caroline Daniel Smith was designated Tobago Officer and Barry Jackson with 13 votes and Cipriani St Bryce 11 were voted board trustees.  Sandy was beaten for a third time mustering only four votes.

The North, East and South zones held  their AGM’s and came together to make decisions for the 2004 season. The new general council will meet tomorrow to establish sub-committees and discuss important issues ahead of the season expected to begin  on January 9. The executives of the three zones are as follows:  South — Chairman Guy Ottley; vice-chairman Barry Jackson; secretary John Patterson; treasurer Garvin Scott; assistant secretary/treasurer Louis Joseph.
North —  Chairman  Paul Clarke; vice-chairman Dennis Allen; secretary Learie Sandy; treasurer Morgan John;  assistant secretary/treasurer Utilda Ryan.
East — Chairman Ishmael St Bryce; vice-chairman Lawrence Hunte; secretary Fitzroy Daniel; treasurer Debbie LaMorrell; assistant secretary/treasurer Merere Gonzales.
