We cannot stop crime, so let us import those who can

THE EDITOR: Why are we trying to fool ourselves and say that we have the resources and knowledge to stop crime, so there is no need for Giuliani? If we had such knowledge, why is it that criminals continue to succeed and crime is escalating?

Where are these top crime fighting experts that claim that Giuliani is not necessary, since they know what to do? The answer? There are no such experts, but egos must be tainted, because it would look bad that a foreigner has to solve the biggest problem facing our country, so let us not use him, and hope that crime stops. Our pride will lead to our downfall, and if we lose the opportunity to utilise the services of Rudy Giuliani to do exactly what he did in New York, then we deserve to have the criminals run the country at our expense. New York has just been rated as the safest largest city in USA. We utilise the American education system, take our family on vacation there and most of our household items are made in USA, so what is the problem to use their resources to stop crime? There is no such thing as Trini-type crime or an American-type crime. Crime is crime, so to say that Giuliani cannot stop crime here is a joke. His recent success  Mexico shows that he knows what to do, regardless of the country so let us not lose this chance. As I read in an earlier article, we have nothing to lose, since it cannot get worse.
