W Connection, Jabloteh face Jamaica opposition

W CONNECTION and CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh will meet Jamaican clubs Portmore United and Arnett Gardens respectively in the first leg semi-finals of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) qualifying series. Semi-final winners will meet in the final, at a date to be announced, for a spot in the 2004 CONCACAF Champions Cup. At that particular tournament, the CFU representative will join two clubs each from Mexico and USA as well as three from Central America. Jabloteh, the current T&T Pro League kings, were awarded a bye into the semi-final round, and they will host Arnett Gardens at the Hasely Crawford Stadium, Mucurapo, today from 6 pm. And Connection will also have home-advantage for the first round, as they will square off against Portmore at the Manny Ramjohn Stadium, Marabella, also from 6 pm. The return games will be played on December 3.
