Serial bandit held with stolen jewelry

A 30-year-old man wanted for a series of robberies in Central and Southern divisions was charged yesterday with  six counts of robbery and one count of burglary.

Yesterday he was handed over to officers of Southern Division to be placed on identification parades. The man was arrested on Wednesday after bandits staged three robberies in Chaguanas and Freeport. The Enterprise home of the suspect was searched and a quantity of stolen jewelry found. He was arrested by Sgt Dennis Housend and Ag Sgt Ajith Persad of the Chaguanas CID. The man will appear before a Chaguanas magistrate today.
