Plipdeco worker drops dead

Anthony Small, a container stacker/handler employed with Plipdeco, yesterday collapsed on the job and died. A statement from Plipdeco said Small, 44, had just turned up for duty at 7 am, when he collapsed outside the timekeeper’s office at the Port of Point Lisas. He was given first aid before being rushed to the Augustus Long Hospital, Pointe-a-Pierre, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Plipdeco has expressed condolences to Small’s family. He was employed with the company since 1982.
